SHIMSHON, HASIDIC IN ASIA

This documentary is about Shimshon, a divorced Hasidic rabbi, living alone in Hong Kong. We follow as he attempts to find a Hasidic wife despite the odds while traveling the region practicing the age-old custom of circumcising Jewish babies.

"Shimshon, Hasidic in Asia" was selected for HAF 2020 and won the prize for the best Hong Kong documentary. It was also selected as part of AIDC Cut to the Chase 2020.
